Overview

CeSI – The Centre for International Studies, commissioned me the re-design of their brand identity to create a series of reports layouts for streamlining their communication.

The goal of the Institute is to help understand current events, quickly and clearly empowering the decision-makers to draw conclusions and formulate well-informed decisions.

Compared to academia, the works of CeSI are realised promptly, so the client can quickly receive the requested situational update and make use of it immediately and directly. In order to make this happen, the Institute team needed to quickly create reports that featured different content (images, graphs, tables, text) and that are made using different software: Adobe Indesign and Microsoft Word.

This led to the creation of a set of six colour-coded templates, for the two software.

A FLEXIBLE SYSTEM

The report design is based on six main colours, each of them identifying a category of topics for the Institute. Each colour-coded template has a version for print-only (light colours, more use of white space) and a version for online consultation (full-bleed images and coloured panels).

The report design is based on a template of fully-editable 17 pages, from simple dividers to more complex visuals such as display of statistics and timeline.
